Frequently asked questions

What formats can I send my questionnaire in?

Word (.docx), PDF, Google Docs link, or a clean Excel file. If your questionnaire is in another format, email us first and we will confirm whether we can work with it.

What if my questionnaire has more than 200 questions?

The Advanced tier covers 200-plus questions. Very large instruments (above 300 questions, or those with especially complex nested logic) may require a custom quote. Email info@nateafrica.org with a copy of the questionnaire and we will assess within one business day.

Can you build a form that works offline?

Yes. KoboToolbox, ODK, and SurveyCTO all support offline data collection through their mobile apps. The XLSForm file itself determines the form structure and logic; offline capability is a feature of the collection app, not the form file. We configure the form to work correctly offline, including pulldata from local CSVs where needed.

What does the pre-deployment test report include?

We send a one-page PDF confirming: validation passed (ODK Validate or Enketo), all skip logic paths tested manually, all constraint messages checked, language label completeness verified, and at least one full test submission reviewed. If we find any errors before delivery, we fix them before the clock stops.

Does the 72 hours include weekends and public holidays?

No. The 72-hour clock runs on Uganda business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). If your order arrives on a Friday afternoon, we will confirm receipt and the delivery deadline by end of business that day. If you need guaranteed weekend delivery, select the Rush add-on and contact us before ordering to confirm availability.

Can I pay in Ugandan shillings?

Yes. MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money payments can be made in Uganda shillings at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of payment. We will confirm the shilling equivalent when you contact us to order. Card and Payoneer payments are processed in USD.

Do you sign data protection or confidentiality agreements?

Yes. We can sign a non-disclosure agreement or data protection agreement before you share your questionnaire. Email info@nateafrica.org and we will turn around the agreement within one business day.
